Each project was created with the goal of motivating people to get more engaged in their communities. And every program fall under one of these project areas:

Civic Journalism Project-Utilizing the media outlets to inform and inspire Americans to become active participants in their community

Civic Education Project- Speakers Bureau promoting voter participation and community service

Urban Policy Project- Organize forums to discuss issues affecting urban communities

Voter Education Project- Put on voter education forums on local issues and provide access to local candidates
